Guitarist Reinier Baas and saxophonist Ben van Gelder continue to challenge each other as performers and composers. Baas's spirited approach to guitar is infectious, drawing the listener in with unexpected rhythmic and dynamic. Van Gelder displays a remarkable calm and overview, alternating transparent lyricism with explosive virtuosity. They perform regularly with legendary drummer and visual artist Han Bennink, founder of the ICP Orchestra. Their repertoire ranges from original compositions to those by Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk, among others.
