This is the story of the creation of a show based on the work of Betty Bossi.
Betty Bossi doesn't exist, yet she does.
Betty Bossi is a great author.
Through her recipes, she writes slices of life.
She writes our memories.
The director stays in the background while the actresses perform.
The scenes unfold, but following a recipe is not as simple as it seems.
There are instructions and then there's what you do with them.
You add your own little grain of salt, or your own grain of sand.
In the theatre, as in life, everyone has their own internal kitchen.
It's a show that builds bridges between theatre, cuisine, our bellies and our lives.
And don't forget the pineapple on the pizza.
« Believe me, my impact goes far beyond lemon-soaked cake or Zurich-style veal.» - Betty Bossi
This project was selected as part of a competition organised by the Théâtre de l'Orangerie for a production inspired by a classical work, selected by a jury made up of students from the drama classes at Geneva Conservatoire (CMG).

COMPAGNIE DES PLAISANTES
The Compagnie des Plaisantes was born in Geneva in 2020. Combining rigour and lightness, the Cie des Plaisantes is in essence a contrast, as evidenced by its name, which is already a mischievous provocation.
Humour, the ability to laugh at a situation or at oneself, is a fundamental value of the company and an important part of the treatment it gives to its subject matter, however serious it may be.
