Swiss Cinema Wednesdays: “Las Toreras”

Since 2009 and every year, the cultural service of Plan-les-Ouates has been keen to introduce you not only to Swiss cinematographic works, but also to highlight the professions of the seventh art through meetings with the public at the at the end of the screenings.

Despite a difficult childhood, Jackie found happiness as an artist. When her dark past catches up with her, she sets out with her artistic character Jack Torera to elucidate the misfortune of her mother suffering from mental disorders, who inspired her art but divided her families in Switzerland and Spain. A film about reconciliation, courage and the strength to confront family taboos.
