With almost 5,000 synthesizers on display in its museum in Fribourg - one of the largest and most important collections in the world - SMEM is an undisputed benchmark in the world of electronic instruments. As part of The Open Synth Lab, visitors will be able to discover some of these most emblematic instruments and learn how to use them. For those who would like to explore the world of electronic instruments in more depth, SMEM is offering two workshops as part of the Electron festival, one dedicated to musicians and producers and the other to young people.
Dive into the fascinating world of synthesizers at this workshop specially designed for budding young producers, aged 8 to 14. Using interactive iPad applications, you'll have the opportunity to explore and create your own musical compositions. You'll be able to record your creations during the session and leave with a recording of your work. What's more, you'll discover concrete examples by playing with emblematic instruments from the SMEM collection!
