TADAAAH!

TADAAAH!

TADAAAH!

By Julia Botelho Cie Ex Aequo With Julia Botelho, Dolo Aurore Andaloro, Arlet Capella Margarit, Victor Delétraz, Judit Waeterschoot, Antoine Weil

Tadaaah! is an astonishing show where circus and reality blend in a funny and disturbing universe. Clowns, princesses, ringmasters, and other characters show us a distorted version of our society, where the spectacular sometimes hides darker truths.
Between memories and illusions, the play gradually reveals what is happening beneath the surface. It asks questions: When do we lose our innocence? How do we understand power relations?
It shines, it disturbs and it makes you think about a society where silence reigns and where certain injustices seem normal.

Julia Botelho , originally from Geneva, is an artist who works in visual arts, performance as well as couture. Her artistic work is characterized by a profound exploration of the complex relationship between the human body and the outside world. It constantly questions the boundaries that separate the private from the public sphere, thus provoking a reflection on the nature of our bodily existence and the subtleties of the contemporary world. Her practice is nourished in particular by her work as a seamstress in an alterations store. In January 2023, she presents Waiting Room collaboration with Antoine Weil at the GOGOGO festival at the Théâtre du Grütli. In March 2024, she will present Le mots bleus collaboration with Charlotte Roche-Meredith and Etienne Goussard at the C'est Déjà Demain festival at the Théâtre du Loup.
