The Javari labyrinths

On the occasion of the publication of the novel “Les labyrinthes du Javari”, a meeting is proposed with the author.
Extermination, exploitation, discrimination, acculturation... The Mayoruna (or Matses) of Javari share this fate reserved for the indigenous peoples of Amazonia. Her story bears witness to the Mayoruna's capacity for resistance. It is a tribute to this struggling people, and a highly critical reflection of our relationship with nature and with others. It is also a call to defend cultures threatened by our system.
