Interactive lab in collaboration with SMEM and L'Abri.

Electron is joining forces with SMEM, the Swiss Museum for Electronic Music, to invite you to discover an exclusive Playroom featuring a selection of the most incredible music-making machines ever conceived: synthesizers.

SMEM has one of the largest and most important collections of electronic music instruments in the world. A veritable living archive, its mission is to conserve, document and explore the instruments of the electronic music scene, past, present and future.

With nearly 5,000 pieces of equipment on display in its Schaulager, located in the heart of Fribourg in Switzerland, the museum offers total immersion: from synthesizers to drum machines, from effects to mixing consoles, a veritable Ali Baba's cave for enthusiasts, music lovers and even the curious. SMEM has also set up a creative space, the Playroom, where everyone from novices to experts can discover synthesizers, play with rare and legendary instruments from the collection, explore their sounds and even record them.

At this OPEN SYNTH LAB, we invite you to explore a selection of the most emblematic instruments in the collection. From 1 to 10 May in Geneva, in the foyer of L'Abri Madeleine, come and discover the history of Roland's TR-909, the Korg MS-20 or the Moog Model D, and plunge into the heart of the vibrant history of electronic music!
