The WRP Foundation invites you to the opening of the exhibition ‘Tratto da une storia vera’ by the artist Corrada Di Pasquale

The opening will take place on Wednesday 12 March from 5.30pm to 8pm at the WRP Foundation.

Corrada Di Pasquale presents the exhibition ‘Tratto da une storia vera ’, which takes a contemporary approach to cartography. The maps that make up her work combine geographical representations with more abstract, personal representations linked to the artist's own history.
In this exhibition, the maps unfold in a complex, multidirectional system, where ideas and realisations intertwine to create a dynamic and unpredictable journey. The pieces presented, which combine three-dimensional, pictorial and installation dimensions, escape any unambiguous reading and reveal themselves as a dense network of psychological, social and cultural meanings.
The artist's cartographic drawings, which retrace a journey from his Sicilian origins to his arrival in Geneva, offer a vision linking past, present and future. They become instruments of peronal reflection for the artist herself, creating a deep connection with the time that shaped her existence and the time in which she will continue to create.
Beyond their introspective scope, Corrada Di Pasquale's maps engage in a dialogue with architecture and urban planning. The lines, superimposed shapes and spatial organisation of her compositions evoke urban plans, with each element forming part of a structured network. His works reflect a concept of space that is not static but constantly evolving, like cities that change with migration and cultural exchange.
Through this approach, the artist highlights architecture as a language that is both constructed and organic, where the boundaries between the individual and the collective are constantly being redefined.
