One-woman show: "Thank you for the fish knife, the conversations and the ham delicacies"
As part of the Plan-les-Ouates Cultural Season 2025-2026.
Upon his retirement, Éric Martin, Brigitte Rosset's grandfather, wrote columns in the Gazette de Lausanne entitled "Les propos du vieux homme" (The Old Man's Comments). In them, he addressed his concerns about his time and cast a sharp eye on humanity. In 2020, following the death of her mother, Brigitte came across his writings, which became the starting point for this project.
"In this new one-woman show, I delve into my childhood memories to try to understand how they shaped the Brigitte I am today. What influences did they have on me? What have I, in turn, passed on, or not, to my children? And what would I be without all those I've met, admired, or loved so much? Illuminating the present, with the help of the past, to better direct the beam onto the future." This joyful reflection comes at the time of my mother's death, the passing of 50, and the desire to look back a little to better approach the next 50 years. It's an opportunity to realize how precious memory is. To quickly remember before forgetting, to keep with me those who are no longer here, to tell you about them so that they may exist, and to rejoice in reviving these memories: the tender, the joyful, the less so, the comical, the incredible, and the trivial, and to share this new project with you."
