Urban Golf
Every summer, the City of Geneva offers a free golf course right in the city centre, so that everyone can discover the harbour in a different way, while enjoying a fun and sporting activity.
Today, golf is no longer reserved for the elite: its urban variant, aimed at all publics, can be played freely and relaxed in the city's parks, promenades and gardens.
An ideal opportunity to combine physical activity with a moment of relaxation, lounging in a park or taking a break by the lake.
Urban golf is played by a minimum of two players, with the aim of completing all 6 holes in as few strokes as possible.
The urban golf course runs from June 30 to August 17, 2025. It is open 7 days a week, from 1pm to 7pm, but closed in case of rain.
The route starts at Parc des Bastions, where materials are distributed in the chalet next to the Bastions kiosk (Place-Neuve entrance).
The 6 stations on the tour allow you to rediscover various emblematic places of from Geneva heritage, such as the Promenade de la Treille, the Jardin Anglais and the Promenade de l'Observatoire.
Groups of more than 10 people are kindly requested to complete the booking form and return it to the Youth Service.
The equipment (clubs, balls and ball holders) is distributed free of charge at the starting point in the Parc des Bastions. The golf equipment is managed by young people as part of the Youth Department's summer activities.
This activity is managed by the Youth Department and supported by various partners. Urban golf is part of a series of local sports and leisure projects developed in the city's various neighborhoods, to encourage the practice of physical and leisure activities.
