“Once upon a time...” Who hasn't heard or read this phrase, inviting us to plunge into another space-time, that of the tale, that of the imaginary, for a journey through the looking glass? Tales, these “emancipating narratives”, are crucibles of metamorphosis.
Once upon a time, Bluebeard gave his young bride a bunch of keys to open all the castle's doors, except one, which was strictly forbidden. But the young wife breaks this ban and discovers her husband's successive murders.
With Guillaume Pidancet and the À l'Ouest Compagnie, this young wife decides to open all the doors with courage and determination, thus emancipating herself “without fear”.
