Not one, but two premieres tonight! Under the familiar, unifying baton of Marc Leroy-Calatayud, mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet and tenor Pene Pati will sing Massenet's masterpiece for the first time, a poignant operatic expression of absolute love whose wound can only be healed by death. We can't wait to see, with these two luminous artists, the shadows of the terrible ambivalence between duty and passion that drives Charlotte, and the overwhelming love without limits or concessions that takes hold of Werther.
