Galerie 1 2 3

Galerie 1 2 3 is an iconic destination dedicated to vintage posters, where collecting, restoration, and a passion for graphic heritage come together through rare pieces spanning over a century of visual history.

The adventure of Galerie 1 2 3 began in 1977 when Jean-Daniel Clerc accidentally discovered twenty-one posters from the 1920s hidden beneath a wooden floor.

Fascinated by their beauty and the quality of the lithographic printing, he embarked on a passionate quest for original vintage posters.

In 1983, Jean-Daniel Clerc opened Galerie 1 2 3 in the Eaux-Vives district of Geneva, becoming one of the world’s pioneers in the field of advertising posters.

Soon after, he also established a conservation and restoration workshop for vintage posters in the heart of Geneva, developing unique expertise in preserving works on paper.

Today, the gallery houses more than 7,000 posters and advertising items, ranking among the finest collections in the world.

These treasures retrace the history of tourism, advertising, transportation, arts, sports, and leisure.

Jean-Daniel Clerc, an internationally recognized expert, organizes and participates in exhibitions worldwide, lectures on vintage posters, and regularly publishes books on the subject.

For more than forty years, Galerie 1 2 3 has carried on the mission of preserving and sharing an exceptional visual heritage.

An emblematic and unique boutique—an absolute must-see!
