Archipel festival - Music and sound art

From April 17 to 26, 2026 Switzerland’s leading festival for experimental and contemporary music and sound art, takes place at the Maison communale de Plainpalais.

The two artist-researchers continue their conversation in a sonic and conceptual form. They evoke the “archaeology of the voice,” an approach that blends text, visual culture, and sound in order to weave a conversational narrative, like a two-chapter sound book intended for collective listening.

Séverine Ballon, with participants from the Day Reception Center workshop – Geneva Red Cross
In Geneva she settles for two months and meets migrants who attend the Geneva Red Cross day reception center. From their exchanges and the sessions organized there emerges a work that requires no musical prerequisites and is built from all the voices present.
