Ensemble 0: Alexandre Babel, Julien Garin, Stéphane Garin
The three percussionists take on composition and offer an acoustic version for three drums of Laurie Spiegel's work Drums. They extend the experience by inviting two artists to join the adventure: using field recording, claire rousay captures everyday life and weaves it into a writing made of ruptures and noise as much as half-toned sonic expanses that often give way to spleen. In Mica Levi's work, creative energy takes the form of sharp rhythms, sometimes transformed into long sentimental sonic stretches, here with three snare drums and three tubular bells.
