A quest for a father, an unexpected journey and some pastries: Ahmed Madani and Anissa deliver a sweet and luminous ode to resilience.

Anissa is searching for her father, whom she has never known. When she stumbles upon his trail in a truly improbable way, Ahmed Madani urges her to join him in his search and accompanies her on this unlikely adventure to the heart of New Hampshire. From this journey emerges a performance where two perspectives intertwine: Anissa's poignant and moving one, and Ahmed's complicit one.
Together, they explore themes of lineage, freedom, chance encounters, the notion of destiny, and the role of art in our lives. Blending theater, pastry making, video, life stories, and discussions between the protagonists and the audience, this performance offers a sensitive and joyful reflection on fatherhood. A tender ode to resilience, punctuated by chocolate and caramel pastries to be enjoyed together. Ahmed Madani has created some forty shows. His theater is rooted in human experience and writing. Social and political issues, ever-present in this changing world, form the very fabric of its dramaturgy.
