A musical for all ages

Part 1: “Préludes en liberté”
Viva Sanchez Reinoso, piano
The “Préludes en liberté” program features works by composers who have dedicated their talent to this particularly free form within the Western musical tradition. A prelude serves to prepare the listener, check the instrument’s tuning, warm up the fingers and the mind, and set the imagination free... So what happens when you never finish starting a program?
AUX GRAINS DU VENT
Musical performance for voice, piano, and percussion
Angela Bürger, director
Anna Ben Zakoun, piano and voice
David Morhain, percussion
A grandmother recalls her youth in Algeria, before the War of Independence. Throughout the performance, her voice shares her experiences, her doubts, and her journey. A woman questions herself; women give birth and fight for their loved ones. More fundamentally, human beings struggle and then get back on their feet, never ceasing to move forward with determination. Through a unique story and a particular family legacy, a universal story gradually takes shape.
