Poetry carried by female voices in today's Arab world is very much alive, responding to an urgent need for expression. Unsurprisingly, Hend Jouda's world is permeated by the terrible terror of war, uncertainty, and precariousness. Nevertheless, her poems are filled with the hope of rebirth, of the arrival of a new cycle. Words carve out a space within space, fragmenting everyday life.

The collection Gaza Ô ma joie (Éditions Héros-Limite, 2025) is made up of elements that are both intimate and universal. Anecdotes and sensations stand alone and form a world unto themselves, allowing her to survive.
