BiblioWeekend 2026 : "Play"
Irreplaceable soft toys, objects of religious devotion, valuable commodities. Toys are more than just playthings. Their owners bring them to life with affection and mourn their death, sometimes even holding funeral ceremonies for them. Using numerous examples inspired by Japan and East Asia, this lecture for all ages explores the different facets of a variety of objects unlike any others.
