"Who am I on stage today?" wonders Eugénie Rebetez.

Both a Jura diva, an atypical dancer and a voluptuous comedian, the artist returns as a soloist with Comeback, a sensitive exploration of her identity as an artist, woman and mother. On stage, she reveals herself as a figure full of ambivalence, changing into a series of costumes each more extravagant than the last, drawing her audience into the intimacy of her questions. In her journey between the inside and the outside.
Some metaphors do not replace words, but express a feeling in the best possible way, the most true and faithful way. To express her artistic identity and tell her story, Eugénie Rebetez applies the same principle: her choreography, songs and gestures speak much more accurately about her than words alone could. Scenic images and vocal and physical performances come together on stage, creating a poetic and funny language.
She also handles humour as well as introspection, as evidenced by the variety of co-producing companies, including Tanzhaus Zürich, where she is an associate artist, the Casino Théâtre de Rolle, the Théâtre Boulimie and, of course, LE POCHE. In this wide gap between a highly specialised contemporary dance venue and another, more popular venue dedicated to comedy, via a space dedicated to contemporary dramatic writing, Eugénie Rebetez intertwines these worlds and questions the status of the artist in a hilarious one-woman show.
