État sauvage
A punchy play by Stéphane Jaubertie by the Cie T à Part
Seeing État sauvage is to live a unique theatrical experience, where laughter and discomfort intertwine in a whirlwind of emotions. One thing is for sure: you won't come out of it unscathed...
In a world marked by fear, tension, and uncertainty, État Sauvage questions our relationship with the other, our inner barbarism, and the fragility of civilization. Two men, the One and the Other, meet in a park that has become a wild space, where violence, instinct, and reason clash in a breathless closed space. Alternately absurd, funny, and unsettling, they take us into a disturbing dance where order and chaos mercilessly confront each other.
Under chiselled light, to the sound of a discreet and poignant electric guitar, the two actors deliver a stunning performance, capturing the complexity of human emotions, between dark humor, dramatic tension, and raw humanity.
Stéphane Jaubertie signs a powerful text here, of burning modernity, that shakes up our references and prompts reflection. On stage, bodies and words clash, drawing a human fresco that is as disturbing as it is hypnotizing.
This show won the 1st regional prize Rhône-Alpes at the FESTHEA 2025 festival and was selected for the closing of the Avignon IF 2025 festival.
