Yèfira concert at the AMR at 9 p.m., co-produced with the Ateliers d'Ethnomusicologie (ADEM)

Yèfira invites listeners to bridge the gap between past and present, delving into Greek repertoires of yesterday and today, at the crossroads of the Balkan and Anatolian worlds.
From Drama in Eastern Macedonia to the Pontus Euxinus—the ancient name for the Black Sea—voices and instruments blend intimately in a poetic language with deep roots.
Between the festive energy of Thracian dances—sometimes bordering on trance—and the expressive introspection of the melodies of Asia Minor, unique soundscapes rich in contrast take shape.
Concert organized by the Ateliers d'ethnomusicologie and the AMR, with the support of the City of Geneva.
