8:45 p.m. – Fulminator
The eMa Extreme Metal Workshop will kick off the evening’s concerts, firing up the crowd with covers of cult bands.
9:30 p.m. – Chernabogg
Formed especially for this event, “Chernabogg” takes the stage for their first live performance, delivering a powerful blend of metalcore influences. Made up of former eMa students—Baptiste Prey (guitar), Tomas de Vries (guitar), and Noah Rougny (drums)—expect melodies, riffs, and heavy breakdowns!
10:30 p.m. – Kassogtha
Hailing from Geneva, Kassogtha stands out as one of the most promising bands on the European metal scene. Described as an “avant-metal behemoth” by Metal Hammer UK and praised for their creativity by Distorted Sound Magazine, the band delivers a modern, sincere progressive metal sound blending sharp riffs, powerful grooves, atmospheric melodies, and deep growls.
Their latest album rEvolve, released on Klang Machine Records, is a strong conceptual work structured in three chapters, exploring cycles of self-destruction, fear, jealousy, and redemption. Produced by David Castillo, Linus Corneliusson, and Tony Lindgren (Carcass, Opeth, Katatonia), rEvolve combines controlled brutality with intense emotion. Kassogtha stands out through an authentic approach to the genre—eschewing artifice to focus on the essence of metal: honest, ambitious, and uncompromising music.
