FILMAR en América Latina returns to Geneva from November 14 to 23. For its 27th edition, Switzerland’s leading festival dedicated to Latin American cinema offers ten days of screenings and encounters.

For ten days, FILMAR en América Latina offers a unique cinematic journey through fiction, documentaries, animated films, and retrospectives.
This edition highlights the work of Albertina Carri, an Argentine filmmaker who explores intimate, political, and queer narratives, and Freddy Mamani, a Bolivian architect whose neo-Andean creations blend vibrant colors and striking forms.
The festival addresses identity, memory, justice, and human rights, and is committed to inclusion with RELAX screenings, sign language sessions, programs for young audiences, and numerous local and international collaborations.
Beyond the screenings, audiences can take part in panel discussions, conferences, and parties—moments of exchange and dialogue across cultures and generations.
The festival concludes with the Audience Award and the Young Jury Prize, presented to films competing in the FOCUS SOUTH and OPERA PRIMA sections.
An unmissable event that showcases the artistic vitality of Latin America and offers Geneva an open, vibrant, and colorful experience.
