A show for ages 12 and up, by Gérard Potier et François Marillier

How can you tell the story of a man who never told his own? In 1856, Narcisse, 12 years old, embarked as a cabin boy, eager to discover the world. Shipwrecked and abandoned on the Australian coast, he was taken in by an Aboriginal clan who adopted him and renamed him Amglo. Years later, just as he was finally finding meaning in his life, he was forcibly repatriated to France. Lost between two worlds, tattooed, scarred, and marginalized, he was welcomed but treated like a freak show! This poignant performance recounts the true story of a human odyssey, both political and poetic, that explores the theme of dual identity, a question that resonates even today.
