A show for ages 12 and up, by Aïni Iften

A family crossed the Mediterranean in the late 1950s to work in the factories of what was then Metropolitan France for the departments of Algeria. It all began with a father, a bolt-setter at Renault, who one day got oil splashed in his face. "Bonus!" cried Mr. Stopwatch, Mr. Bah-mon-vieux-y-a-d-l’abus, and the Director. As compensation, the family moved from their basement apartment to a council flat. Migration, biculturalism, and the omnipresence of the marvelous are at the heart of this apartment "where you constantly get lost because there's so much space." Aïni Iften discovered Kabyle folktales there and shares them with us with mystery, humor, and poetry.
