Geneva Dance Festival

From May 6 to 10, Geneva becomes a city in motion. Across five days, dance appears throughout public spaces, inviting audiences to experience neighborhoods in new and unexpected ways.

The 2026 edition marks a special milestone: the Geneva Dance Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary. To celebrate, the festival extends across eight municipalities—Geneva, Carouge, Lancy, Meyrin, Onex, Confignon, Bernex, and Vernier—inviting audiences to experience the richness and diversity of dance in all its forms.

This anniversary edition features nearly 40 shows and performances by professional artists, 15 amateur showcase sets, 80 introductory classes, and countless festive moments. Iconic events return, including the Fête de la Danse in Meyrin, the Supers Marchés Dansés, Onex Scène, and Tattes & Danses.

New highlights include a major dance parade honoring the Rhône, following the river’s course and culminating at the Dance Village, located in the former TPG halls in La Jonction. Quais Dansés will bring moments of poetry and wonder along Geneva’s waterfronts. The flash mob Lovons-nous joyeusement!, a joyful Zumba performance led in collaboration with Cité Seniors, invites everyone to dance in the spirit of love and togetherness.

True to its values, the Geneva Dance Festival is open and accessible to all, with many events free of charge or offered at reduced prices to suit modest budgets.
