In 2026, the Generali Geneva Marathon will reach a major milestone in its history with its 20th edition.

20 editions. A milestone. A symbol. A must-attend event
The Generali Geneva Marathon is one of the most beautiful marathons in Europe and one of the fastest in Switzerland. The beauty of the Geneva course—with its first section through the countryside and a finish in the heart of the city opposite the famous Jet d’Eau—along with its fast-paced route, attracts runners, over 50% of whom beat their personal bests in 2019.
The 20th edition of the Generali Geneva Marathon will take place on May 9 and 10, 2026. Thousands of runners from over 138 different countries will gather in a festive and friendly atmosphere to participate in one of the eight races on the program: the Marathon, the Core Lean Relay Marathon (4–6 people), the Half Marathon, the Wheelchair Half Marathon, the 10K open to runners and walkers, the 5K by Always (now open to everyone!), the Junior Races (1–3 km for ages 6–13) as well as parent/child races for the youngest participants, ages 3 and up.
