After a successful first edition, the Geneva Blues Festival returns for a new immersion in the blues. Organized by the Blues Association Geneva, this event links the local scene with international figures.
On Friday, the Geneva Blues Band opens the ball with some of Geneva's finest blues performers, followed by Henrik Freischlader. Born in 1982 in Wuppertal, this self-taught guitarist combines virtuosity and raw emotion. Always in search of authenticity, he is constantly pushing back the boundaries of blues rock.
On Saturday, after an opening with Blues Power, a blues-rock band from the French-speaking part of Switzerland, it's time for Bex Marshall, an artist with a unique style blending blues, rock and a variety of roots. Heiress to British nobility and a large Romany family, her playing combines slide, ragtime and roots picking. Her powerful voice and daring compositions push back the boundaries of the genre.
Finally, Johnny Gallagher will set the stage alight with his explosive playing and showman charisma. This Irish master of improvisation fuses energetic rock, soulful blues and country picking, delivering intense, unforgettable performances.
