Gnawa Diffusion is an Algerian group, founded in 1992 in Grenoble, by Amazigh Kateb, son of the Algerian playwright and writer Kateb Yacine. A guembri, kerkabs, instruments from the Maghreb-African region, the trance of the Gnawas, Maghreb gospel that from suffering becomes liberation, endowed with a humor that pins down all the "twisted" of the planet, sounds mixing the traditional with the modern, ranging from Gnawi to Rock via Rap, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Chaabi: the scene of Gnawa Diffusion is set and the caravan sets off.
