For the sixth year in a row, the Akhtar Association is thrilled to invite you to the grand closing gala of the Extravadanza Festival!
A highlight of our program, this unique show invites you to rethink your perception of dance and be surprised by the richness of styles from around the world.

For this 2025 edition, Extravadanza! takes you on a true journey along the Silk Road, through traditional and contemporary dances. From the whirling grace of contemporary dervishes to the powerful energy of Caucasian dances, from the expressive flow of Uyghur movement to the regal elegance of Rajasthani dance... each piece offers an immersive dive into a culture, a feeling, a story.

This year’s guest of honour, Maria Robin, a key reference in Rajasthani dance in Europe, brings her unique artistry to Geneva. Her workshops at Extravadanza will be her sole teaching engagement in Switzerland this year, an unique opportunity for dance enthusiasts!

From the grounded breath of ethno-contemporary dance to the refined lines of Arab-contemporary movement, Extravadanza celebrates the diversity, creativity, and passion that drive today’s dancers.
All artists featured on stage are based in Switzerland and reflect the vibrant cultural richness of our local scene.
