Conference, illustrated by magic tricks, will highlight the continuities and evolutions of stage magic from the early 20th century to the present day.

As the fear of witchcraft and black magic fades in the West, so-called white magic (the science of illusion, sleight of hand, mentalism...) enters the performing arts, not without playing on the ambiguities of the term. This conference, illustrated by the interventions of four prominent members of the Geneva Magic Club, will shed light on the continuities and evolutions of stage magic from the early 20th century to the present day.
