ℹ️ Between nostalgia and sonic exploration, In Fallow builds a bridge between math rock, post-rock and folk, driven by a quest for serenity and a deep connection to nature. Born from solo experiments, the project grew into an inspired and ambitious quartet where every note tells a story and every melody invites a journey.
Carried by an organic energy and a subtle approach to sound design, the French-Swiss band forges its path along the Lake Geneva region and beyond. After a first EP in 2019 and several memorable concerts, In Fallow is now preparing to unveil its debut album, Fragments, the result of five years of intense work.
Throughout Fragments, the quartet evokes wide open spaces, blending math and post-rock influences, from American Football to Totorro, Pinegrove and early Biffy Clyro, with softer, folk-driven moments and shifting atmospheres. On the title track, recorded with musician and composer Lucille Mille, layered voices and folk textures gently caress the listener’s ear.
Hints of the band’s first EP resurface as finely interwoven guitars and rock traditions run through the album, notably on tracks like “Sparkling Lights,” “In Fallow,” and “La Voie le temps,” the French-sung focus track accompanying the release. The journey is complete: rich in arrangements and guitars, it invites listeners to travel inward and reconnect with the environment around them.
Supported by Le Brise Glace (2023) and now Château Rouge and Catalyse.
