INTI-ILLIMANI HISTÓRICO TRIO
Inti-Illimani is one of the most fascinating musical groups to come out of Latin America. With a history spanning almost 55 years - it was founded in 1967 - the group has built a musical history that makes it an essential reference point for understanding the evolution of musical ensembles worldwide. As the famous classical guitarist John Williams said in the 1990s: "One of the greatest bands in any style".
Numerous music critics and prestigious newspapers have also praised the group, such as the Washington Post, which described them as follows: "Inti-Illimani transports us to a magical musical world. Their music is like folklore in search of a home".
Today, Inti-Illimani Histórico continues to enchant audiences with melodies and songs that seem to emanate from the collective dream of the people. Under the direction of Horacio Salinas, musical director since 1968 and main composer of many emblematic works, the group, accompanied by José Seves and Horacio Durán, continues its rich creative path, marked by new discoveries with each album.
Still very active and creative, they continue to perform around the world today, as Inti-Illimani enjoys international recognition for their long career on the major stages of Europe, Asia and Latin America, where they have a large and loyal following.
