Concert by Kahil El'Zabar's Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Saturday, March 28, 2026, 9:00 p.m. at the AMR

Kahil El'Zabar is one of the major figures and visionaries of the Chicago improvisational scene. A member of the AACM, he founded the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble in 1974 to explore, in an almost ritualistic dimension, the links between jazz and African musical traditions. Driven by spiritual energy, his music shines on international stages.
