A trio for all-terrain dancers.
It all starts with this desire to reach out. To break down barriers, to step outside the theater, to explore all those spaces that have become too vague and all those spaces that have become too silent. A trio of hip-hop dancers, funny, poetic, and spectacular. A shared moment where we find ourselves tapping our feet and nodding our heads. A generous moment, to reconnect with the popular tradition of street performances: wild, infectious, and open to everyone.
The performance is followed by a workshop built around encounter, practice, and experimentation.
Cie Virgule is a hip-hop dance company. Or a contemporary dance company. Or a theater company. Or a mime company. Perhaps a little of everything. But ultimately, it doesn't matter. They tell stories, attuned to the human rhythm, embodied through gestures.
