Since its founding half a century ago, the Festival has demonstrated its ability to evolve, constantly renewing its mission, aesthetic direction, partners, and audiences. Each edition takes place across more than twenty venues in the Geneva metropolitan area, neighboring France, and the canton of Vaud: theaters, concert halls, and clubs, as well as museums, parks, and other public spaces, make up the Festival’s landscape.
La Bâtie has established itself as the must-attend event of Geneva’s fall season (late August–early September). A catalyst for artistic and social experiences, the event offers the chance to get to know the big names on the international scene, discover the local and regional talents of tomorrow, experience unprecedented aesthetic encounters, and broaden perspectives on the world.
