RED ART PROJECT GENEVA

RED ART exhibition will take place during the Art fair in Geneve, 2026, at Artium Gallery 11, rue de l’Hôtel de Ville 1204 Genève.

RED ART exhibition will take place during the Art fair in Geneve, 2026, at Artium Gallery 11, rue de l’Hôtel de Ville 1204 Genève. Located in the centre of the Old Town, the City Hall is the political heart of the city. This is where the government of the Canton of Geneva is based. This building houses the famous Alabama Room, where the first Geneva Convention was held in 1864, at the origin of the International Red Cross. For over 500 years, the Hôtel de Ville has been at the centre of Geneva and international life. A true masterpiece of 15th-century architecture, the building features a unique monumental ramp. During the Geneva art fair, we will simultaneously host an art exhibition project focused on red art. This project will feature work from artists at the gallery.

Titled "RED ART," the exhibition is curated by Francisco Lacerda. The "RED ART" project will delve into the artists' reflections and interpretations of the color red in art. The participating artists will consider the evolution of red throughout art history. Drawing on the rich legacy of red in art, these artists will present their unique perspectives. They may create new works inspired by masterpieces or offer their own political, sociological, psychological, religious, and sexual commentaries.
