Listening to the songs (and cries) of birds

The commune of Plan-les-Ouates, in collaboration with the Geneva Natural History Museum, invites you to discover and decipher the songs (and calls) of the birds that surround us.

Deux hirondelles rustiques sur une branche. L'une d'entre elles a le bec ouvert.

The walk will be guided by Laurent Vallotton, Swiss ornithologist and scientific assistant at the Museum.

Sometimes melodious, sometimes alert, come and lend an ear alongside us to learn more about the fascinating world of birds through the melodies they emit.

This guided walk will take you through the Bois du Milly nature reserve and the Bistoquette ponds, starting from the old school in Saconnex d'Arve.

Recommended equipment: We advise you to bring a pair of binoculars to fully enjoy the walk and try to observe the birds we'll be listening to.

Registration required: To take part in the activity, you must register with the commune of Plan-les-Ouates' environment and green spaces department, either by email at environnement@plan-les-ouates.chenvironnement@plan-les-ouates.ch, or by telephone on 022 884 64 30.
