The MEG is once again partnering with the Groove N'Move festival!
Want to dance freely and with complete peace of mind? Common Flow is for you. Inspired by the concept of ‘Conscious Clubbing’, it offers a welcoming space to explore movement in a subdued atmosphere. The goal: to let go and give way to spontaneous movement, without constraints. The session, initially set in motion by the facilitator, is then guided by the DJ.
The festival is continuing its sound residency and free dance session project in collaboration with the MEG. Following the success of the first two editions, Groove'N'Move is this time inviting DJ, beatmaker and songwriter Ka(ra)mi to draw inspiration from the Museum's sound archives. As usual, she will use these sources to compose a set that she will play during Common Flow.
Who is it for?
For lovers and explorers of dance and movement. For those who want to dance solo or in a group, or simply participate in a moment of sharing. No need to know how to dance!
How?
The sessions are practised barefoot or in socks and are non-verbal from start to finish: they are guided mainly by music, to allow for a total sensory journey and give full rein to physical expression.
DJ: Ka(ra)mi
Facilitator: Sébastien
At the beginning of each session, the facilitator guides the movement to create a flow of exploration. It is then up to the DJ to guide the journey through a variety of sounds.
A few rules to follow
Photos and videos are not allowed.
Be barefoot or wear socks.
Alcohol and drugs are prohibited.
Priority is given to movement: discussions and conversations are only possible once the session is over.
