A Luminous Journey Through Geneva’s Old Town

Mapping sur le bâtiment de la Maison Rousseau

A new winter rendez-vous to reveal Geneva’s heritage

This December, Geneva’s Old Town will host the first edition of MurMur, a light trail imagined by the Association of Old Town Businesses (ACVV) in collaboration with the Mapping Festival.

Over the course of three evenings, three artistic installations will transform courtyards and façades into spaces of luminous poetry, blending mapping, holograms and laser projections in a subtle, immersive approach that fully respects the heritage of the site.

Société de Lecture – “Echo of Letters” (B2BK)
The courtyard of the Société de Lecture becomes an open page. In an immersive mapping specifically designed for the location, B2BK turns texts from writing workshops run with Les Jardins de la Jonction and literary quotations into visual material. A delicate, poetic 360° light immersion.

La Bastide Café – “Mirages” (Structurals)
In this emblematic courtyard, Structurals presents a unique holographic installation. Balancing the organic and the conceptual, the hologram engages in dialogue with the architecture and the foliage of an olive tree, creating a visual presence that is subtle, suspended and almost otherworldly.

Maison Rousseau et Littérature – “Glimmers of the Word” (FeliX)
On the façade of the Maison Rousseau, FeliX illuminates the philosopher’s thought through a subtle and contemporary laser-mapping work. Words dissolve, reassemble and spread, forming a luminous writing that evokes Rousseau’s own hand.

MurMur aims to establish a warm and unifying winter event, free, accessible to all, while supporting the cultural and economic life of the neighbourhood.
