Since 2017, Amal Alpha has been taking karaoke everywhere. The characters she plays (from Cindy Lopette to Gay Chevara) use self-mockery to create a joyful, festive and tender space. For the occasion, come and meet Ursula for a special karaoke animated legends...and legendary hits!

Amal Alpha: A neuroscientist in remission and aspiring translator, Amal Alpha has been singing since she was a child. She discovered the liberating power of karaoke in 2014 with Dana, a queer KJ based in Oakland. Since 2017, Amal Alpha has been taking karaoke everywhere in Geneva: to cellars, parks, bars, theatres, community centres, libraries, on floats... and to museums! She is also one of the instigators of Sharkaraoké, a float that travels the streets of Geneva broadcasting videos of #karaopo, a series of songs that have been hijacked to be sung at demonstrations.
