The Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève invites you to the opening of “Enfantillages et bizarreries: vertige d’une collection” on April 28 at L’Arcade, from 4 PM to 9 PM in the presence of the curators.

The exhibition "Enfantillages et bizarreries : vertige d’une collection" presents a fascinating collection of art objects: trinkets, baubles, charms, gadgets, small toys, lucky charms, and consolation objects. This constellation of miniatures results from obsessions, fantasies, and visions born from a collector’s passion.
Each object — from Sol LeWitt’s perfume bottles to Yoko Ono’s stamps, Jenny Holzer’s pencils, or Takako Saito’s marbles — oscillates between toy, everyday object, and work of art. Each piece, even those seemingly insignificant e carries the promess of a surprise and wonder and, reveals the power of secret and poetic of things and the collector himself.
The exhibition explores the magical qualities of objects and childhood as a place of refuge and wonder. It unveils the collector’s deeply childlike nature, situated between desire, possession, and the attempt to fill absences, losses, and voids through the richness of the collection.
