Guided Walk: Origins of International Geneva, from Parc Ariana to the Botanical Garden

Organized by the Geneva Section of the Touring Club Switzerland, this cultural walk invites you to explore the foundational sites of International Geneva through a guided pedestrian tour.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM, you will journey from Parc Ariana to the Botanical Garden, passing by major international institutions. This excursion will highlight the historical and geopolitical evolution of Geneva's role, from the establishment of the European headquarters of the United Nations to the presence of key specialized agencies.
Through historical landmarks in parks and official buildings, participants will gain insights into how the city has established itself as a platform for global dialogue and cooperation. The walk will conclude with an aperitif by the lake, offering a moment for reflection and exchange.
This activity is open to all individuals interested in contemporary history and the international significance of Geneva. Advance registration is required.
