Record-breaking plants

Explore the diversity of plants and look for the biggest, smallest, oldest or most extraordinary

Fleur de Doryanthes palmeri à la serre tempérée

Do you know which plant can live the longest? And the one with the biggest leaves? Is it the same as the one with the biggest trunk? Come and discover these record-breaking plants as you explore the Botanical Garden!

This workshop is part of the Geneva Botanic Garden Ateliers verts series. On Wednesday afternoons, children are invited to share our passion for the world of plants and botany in a fun and educational way. Themed investigations, sensory discoveries, botanical explorations, and many other activities are included in the programme. These workshops are carried out in the heart of our living collections by our curators, gardeners and scientists, in collaboration with volunteers from Uni3, Geneva's University for Seniors.
