Did you know that our Garden is home to much more than just plants ? Among its discreet inhabitants are many species of fungi, fascinating organisms that are often overlooked but essential.

Present in our daily lives – from our plates (bread, cheese, beer) to our medicines – fungi also perform essential functions in nature, such as decomposing dead organic matter and forming symbiotic relationships, particularly with trees. And they are not plants! They do not perform photosynthesis and are, evolutionarily speaking, closer to animals.
During this visit, we will explore the species visible in autumn, producing fruiting bodies that can be observed with the naked eye and are commonly called mushrooms.
You will learn to recognize their morphology, differentiate between species, and understand their vital role in ecosystems. A captivating immersion into a hidden but essential world!
