The Geneva Botanic Garden opens its doors for an exceptional tour in the company of its head gardener, Nicolas Freyre. Take a peek behind the scenes of a place of global excellence.

The Geneva Botanic Garden is among the most prestigious botanical gardens in the world. We house exceptionally rich collections: a herbarium of over six million specimens, a nearly exhaustive library on the plant and fungal kingdoms, and a living collection of over 11,000 organically cultivated species, many of which are rare or endangered.
These treasures, supported by cutting-edge scientific research, contribute to deepening our understanding of life so that we can better preserve it.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Hortus Botanicus Helveticus (HBH) – the umbrella organisation of Swiss botanical gardens, which brings together 30 institutions – we are celebrating this milestone in Geneva.
Join our head gardener, Nicolas Freyre, for an exceptional tour to discover our mission, our activities, and our impact.
