In collaboration with Festival Histoire et Cité

The Bibliothèque de Genève houses among its treasures famous and lesser-known texts, richly illustrated, from the 15th to the 20th century. These give pride of place to supernatural scenes and female figures, sometimes positive, sometimes negative, such as the fairy Melusine in the eponymous novel by Jean d'Arras (1478), one of the first two books printed in Geneva.
Presentations of documents will alternate with readings of contemporary excerpts by actress Nathalie Boulin.
Speakers: Delphine Bongard, Nathalie Boulin, Nicole Staremberg
Moderator: Thierry Dubois
Location: Bibliothèque de Genève, Salle Sénebier
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Free, registration required (limited places)
