With a constant spirit of research and innovation, Chef Léo Besnard invents, experiments, and refines. He selects his ingredients, harmonizes flavors, and composes a truly exceptional cuisine. Following the seasons, the chef offers a menu that prioritizes local produce and short supply chains. Vegetables, when not from our own garden and guaranteed organic, are chosen with the utmost care from local farmers.

The restaurant boasts a superb terrace offering a spectacular view of Lake Geneva and the Geneva countryside. A magnificent vantage point, the terrace (one of the most beautiful in Geneva) allows guests to contemplate the landscape while enjoying a meal prepared by our dedicated team.

The Vegetable Garden

On the hillside overlooking Lake Geneva and the Jura Mountains, just below the restaurant, lies a small vegetable garden. In this unusual haven of peace, the chef cultivates beautiful tomatoes, flavorful organic salads, and all the herbs that enhance the cuisine of the Auberge du Lion d’Or during the summer season.

Committed to offering impeccable freshness and quality year-round, Chef Léo Besnard also works with local market gardeners, ensuring they always operate in harmony with nature. The same care is taken in selecting seafood and farmed products, which are always certified as eco-responsible.

The Gault & Millau guide awarded the Auberge du Lion d’Or a score of 16, and the restaurant is part of the Michelin Guide selection.
