In their small 35 m² workshop-boutique nestled near Plainpalais, Chloé and Aurélia craft unique pieces together — whether bespoke creations or original designs.

Their mission : to bring light and poetry into interiors by transforming the lampshade — often seen as purely functional — into a true decorative statement.

Each piece is thoughtfully made with an artisanal and sustainable approach: varied shapes, designer fabrics or upcycled wallpapers, and lamp bases lovingly sourced and carefully restored.

They turn each element into a one-of-a-kind piece, rich with character and soul.

Contre Jour offers personalized guidance to help each customer find the perfect match between base and shade, or to imagine the ideal pendant light to illuminate a space with harmony and elegance.
